80. The Brooklyn Brawler

Yeah, we know.  He barely won any matches and was a career curtain jerker.  But aren’t those wrestlers necessary to make others look good?  Nobody, was a longer glorified jobber and sent more people to the pay window than Steve Lombardi; the Brooklyn Brawler.

Steve Lombardi may have gradually worked his way to becoming a good worker in the WWE, but it was evident that he didn’t have “it” to be a star.  This is ok, few do, but he could get a reaction and was a very good lower card heel.  Lombardi would go on to make wrestler after wrestler look like stars and when needed he would don masks (to portray Kim Chee) or paint (to portray Doink the Clown).  Today he still works as a behind the scenes agent for the WWE where he has marked nearly twenty five years of service in Stamford.  Considering that other talented jobbers are in (Johnny Rodz) and that he has had such a long tenure, there is actually a decent case for Lombardi in the Hall.
