A+ A A-

Leading the Punk Revival charge, Green Day could make a claim as one of the more influential bands in the 90’s.  As catchy and successful as their early efforts was it didn’t exactly break new ground; but it reminded many people of ground that was broke fifteen years previous.  Over time, Green Day opened the doors for Neo Punk bands, all the while still remaining relevant and leading the charge for the bands they helped to inspire.  Should they have the same profile they have now in their year of eligibility, Green Day could be a first ballot entry.

Never have like dthem, they seemed like posers to me. They were at the forefront of punk's "rebirth&q uot; and are still relevent all these years later. I may not like it but they do deserve it.

like them or not, they opened the way to Blink 182 ,sum 41 and without them the modern punk wouldn't exist. so whatever you could think of them, they deserve to be in.

American Idiot sealed it for them, even though they are in no way an interesting band. Ah well...
