Led Zeppelin

This band is about as important to Rock and Roll as it comes. A Led Zeppelin reunion tour could be the highest grossing tour of all time and it would include an audience that had every age group represented. Sounds like an influential band to us.

Inducted in 1995. From London, England

John Bonham (drums), John Paul Jones (bass, keyboards), Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Plant (vocals)

The greatest rock band ever! And really no one is close. The greatest thing about the Mighty Zepp is that every song is a unique masterpiece within itself that feels and sounds completely different than anything else they or anyone else had ever done. And yet you still know It's Zepp. Remember the first time you ever really listened to Zepp? it blew you away. How can they make you feel that way with music? Listen to the greatest rock album ever made Zepp 4. Every song is completely autonomous of the other songs but they all fit together. REalize that Misty Mountain Hop follows Stairway to heaven. Wow. And this is the same group that gave us Whole Lotta Love. And we are just touching the surface here. How about Kashmir? If any one group would have had any one of these songs on their resume they would be legendary. Zepp has all of them and probably ten more classic songs. The only artist that is near as important to the history and perpetuation of rock and roll is the King himself. And that might be in question. They are the Kings. And nobody will ever dethrone them.

  • Hootie and the Blowfish
A lot of big things were pegged for Hootie and the Blowfish. Their 1994 album, Cracked Rear View, dominated the radio with their mainstream appeal of Country and Blues based light Rock and Roll found a massive audience and an unexpected “cool” appeal. They never did replicate that success and though that was expected, it wasn’t expected just how fast…
