  • The Best Of The 80's

As the New Wave genre brought a lot of androgynous looking men in to the forefront, there was one group that seemed to take the same idea only with a female lead singer who certainly had a unique androgynous appeal. Of course, that look may have gotten them their first taste of attention, but the Eurythmics proved they had the talent to stay in the public eye for a long time.

The Eurythmics (Annie Lennox & Dave Stewart) were not the most know New Wave group but they may be the most visually recognizable. The image of Annie Lennox’s look attached to one of the most provocative voices is about as powerful as it comes. Their later albums embraced more Pop/Rock standards and flirted with a bit of R&B, which Lennox’s voice could easily pull off. They might get in to the Rock Hall; however chances are they will have a bit of a line up ahead of them.
