Regular visitors of Notinhalloffame.com know that we are slowly working on the top 50 of every major team in the NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB.  Once that is done, we intend to look at how each team honor their past players, coaches and executives.  As such, it is news to us that the E-Club Athletic of Hall of Fame (Eastern Michigan) has announced six new members. RIP: Biz Markie

The world of rap lost one of its own, as Biz Markie, passed away at the age of 57.  While it was announced how he died, he had been suffering from Type 2 Diabetes for an extended period of time. Born Marcel Hall, Markie had a unique sound, as he was not a skilled rapper, nor was he a competent singer.  As such, he used humor, quirkiness, occasional self-deprecation, and his ability to beatbox to create a style all his own.  It resulted in what was one of the great one-hit wonders ever, “Just a Friend” in 1989.  The song catapulted Markie, albeit briefly,…

Expansion. Expansion. Expansion. Over recent years, we have expanded our list of those to consider for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame from 100 to 250, and now it is 500 plus. We did the same to those to consider for the WWE Hall, as it began it at 100 and it is now at 400. Last year, we expanded the hockey list to 300.  Now, we are ready to that for our baseball list. The new entries are: #80. Tommy Bond.  Bond was a sidearm pitcher in the 1800s, who is second all-time in BB/9 and SO/BB.  He won 234 Games.…

The world of professional wrestling lost one of the all-time greats as “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff has passed away at the age of 71.  It was announced on his son Travis’ Instagram page. Orndorff had been suffering from dementia in recent years, which likely led to his death. A Running Back at the University of Tampa, Orndorff played one season for the Jacksonville Sharks in the World Football League.  He began his wrestling career in 1976, and would win titles across the United States for varying promotions, often competing at the top of the card.  Notably, he won the NWA National Championship in Georgia…
