The biggest prize and the most cherished victory in hockey alongside the Olympics. Every four years, at the Hockey World Cup the world’s greatest teams play some of the toughest, most skilful and entertaining international hockey imaginable. This is where legends are made – with the world’s finest players battling it out to become the very best.
From 2018, the tournament will be extended to 16 teams so there will be more games to enjoy through four group stages, the quarter finals and classification matches.
16 teams are still more by my thinking. I think 8 or 10 best teams of the world should participate so that the competition may enhance because every one wants to see a better competition.
