Not in Hall of Fame News

You will have to forgive us, as we are a little late on this one.  Wide Receiver, Reggie Wayne, has announced that he will be officially retiring.  Wayne had asked for his release at the end of pre-season from the New England Patriots this year, but not was able to latch on to any other team.  With this official retirement, Reggie Wayne retires with some serious Hall of Fame credentials.  A six time Pro Bowl Selection, Wayne caught 1,070 passes for 14,345 Yards and 82 Touchdowns, and is 7th, 8th and 23rd respectively in those categories, all-time. Those are good…

Kudoh is one of the most decorated pitchers in Japanese baseball history and becomes only the fourth player to enter the Hall on the first ballot.  Kudoh is an eleven time Japan Series Champion, a two time MVP and would lead the league in ERA four times.  Currently, Kimiyasu Kudoh is the Manager of the Fukuoka Hawks. Masaki Saito enters the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame on his ninth try.  Saito played his entire nineteen year career with the Yomiyuri…
Pete Rose may never get into the Baseball Hall of Fame.  However the Cincinnati Reds, the team in which Rose spent the bulk of his career with, has decided to ignore the nearly three decade ban that was upheld by Major League Baseball Commissioner, Rob Manfred, as they will be inducting the Hit King into their franchise’s Baseball Hall of Fame. Rose, who is a native of Cincinnati, is still a revered man in that city, and this was where he led the “Big Red Machine” to two World Series Championships in the 1970’s.  As a Cincinnati Red, Rose accumulated…

Our long and arduous work in progress of ranking the top fifty players for every North American sports team is underway, but after that is completed we will then take a look how each franchise honors their own in terms of respective franchise halls of fame, ring of honors, retired numbers and statues. As such, it is important to us to make notice that the Detroit Pistons retired the number 3 of Ben Wallace last night in a ceremony during halftime of their home game against the Golden State Warriors. Wallace was a four time NBA Defensive Player of the…

WWE HOF News

There have been some interesting developments in regards to the WWE Hall of Fame, both involving current Hall of Fame inductees.  The first involves the “Original Diva”, Tammy Sytch (Sunny), who has not been on the greatest of terms in the last few years.  Sytch has had some issues with multiple DUI arrests, stalking her ex-boyfriend and has been provocative Skype sessions for cash.  With the WWE being a publically traded company, needless to say, the Stamford brass has not been pleased with her behavior.  Last year, when it was reported that the WWE was not pleased with Sytch, she…

The NWA would later…
