Although we focus musically on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, we thought it would be pertinent to mention that the Songwriters Hall of Fame have announced their latest inductions. Many members of the Class of 2013 will be familiar to Rock fans.The class is headlined by Steve Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith. Matt Birk Retires

Amidst the hoopla that surrounded Ray Lewis’ retirement with the Super Bowl Champion, Baltimore Ravens, another potential Hall of Fame entry has announced that he is calling it a career. Center, Matt Birk has ended his career at the age of 36, and has done so as a Champion. Birk was a six time Pro Bowl Selection, all of which occurred while he was a member of a Minnesota Vikings. Birk was also considered one of the “good guys” of the game, as he was named in 2011 as the Walter Payton Man of the Year, which honoured his community…
The Cleveland Indians have announced that they will be adding two new members to their team’s Hall of Fame. The first is Carlos Baerga who was with the Tribe from 1990 to 1996 and for a second run in 1999. It was in his first run in Cleveland that Baerga was at his best, as he was an All Star three times. Twice he would have a 200 hit/100 RBI campaign and he would have a .300+ Batting Average four campaigns in a row. As many of you know, Chipper Jones ended his acclaimed career at the end of the 2012 Major League Baseball season, which essentially marked the countdown to his Cooperstown induction speech. The team that he spent his entire career with, the Atlanta Braves has decided to honor him right away.The Braves have announced that they will induct Chipper Jones into their Hall of Fame and bestow upon him the ultimate accolade of retiring his number 10. The Finalists include our top three selections, Gary Payton, Bernard King and Spencer Haywood, all of which we hope will be selected. Now that the busiest season for us at notinhallofffame.com has ended, the question is what is next for us in the upcoming months!Why revisions of course!The Rock and Roll list is set to be revamped with a new number one. As our last year’s number one selection, Rush, has entered, a vacancy waits at the top.
