Yes, we know that this is taking a while! As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists out and we always consistently look to update them when we can and based on necessity.  As such, we are very happy to present our post 2022/23 revision of our top 50 Houston Astros. As for all of our top 50 players in baseball we look at the following: 1.  Advanced Statistics. 2.  Traditional statistics and how they finished in Major…

1956 PRELIMINARY RESULTS: Thank you for all of you who have participated in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Revisited Project, and if you are unaware of what that is, simply, we acted as if the PFHOF had their first class in January of 1946? We have completed the first ten years thus far. For “1956” a Preliminary Vote with close to 130 players whose playing career ended by 1949. We are also following the structure in that players have 20 years of eligibility, and if they do not make it into the Hall, they are relegated to the Senior…
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced their 2024 Nominees, which if we had a million tries, we never would have guessed this group.  It is completely different than what we have seen in the past, and (taking this from a personal point of view as the Chairman of the Site) I don’t know whether this makes me happy or not.  There is a plethora of first-time nominees, many of whom have never been nominated, and it is nice to see different acts get a shot, but with this group, we have no artist whose peak began before…
Regular visitors of Notinhalloffame.com know that we are slowly working on the top 50 of every major team in the NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB.  Once that is done, we intend to look at how each team honor their past players, coaches and executives.  As such, it is important to us that the Memphis Grizzlies will retire Marc Gasol’s number 33 on April 6. From Spain, Gasol was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2007, but did not play for them initially as his rights was traded to Memphis along with his older brother, Pau.  Gasol played for…
We love this week. As all football fans are pumped for this Sunday’s Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, we get most excited for the Pro Football Honors, which not only gives out the end of season awards, but the announcement of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024. The Hall selected seven names, five modern (Dwight Freeney, Devin Hester, Andre Johnson, Julius Peppers, and Patrick Willis) and two Senior (Randy Gradishar and Steve McMichael). Dwight Freeney is a surprise entering on his second year.  The Defensive End won a Super Bowl with…
If you are a regular visitor at Notinhalloffame.com, you know that we created the Notinhalloffame NHL Cup, where in every regular season game, we award points (5-4-3-2-1) to the top five performers.  This is the third year that we have done this, and Edmonton’s Connor McDavid won the first two. To keep everyone regularly in the loop this time, we have decided to give regular updates, starting at Thanksgiving, and tell all of you the top ten.  We will be doing updates every Thursday. Here is the tenth current top ten in Notinhalloffame Cup Points: 1. David Pastrnak, Boston Bruins.…
If you are a regular visitor at Notinhalloffame.com, you know that we created the Notinhalloffame NBA Cup, where in every regular season game, we award points (5-4-3-2-1) to the top five performers.  This is the fourth year that we have done this, and Denver’s Nikola Jokic winning the first two, and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers winning last year. To keep everyone regularly in the loop this time, we have decided to give regular updates, starting at Thanksgiving.  We will update this every Wednesday. Here is the current top ten: 1. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder, 208 Cup Points: …
1955 Pro Football Hall of Fame Revisited Project Class. Here we are!  Again!! If you have been following our Pro Football Hall of Fame Revisited Project, you know that we have asked the rhetorical question…what if the PFHOF began in January of 1946? After soliciting and obtaining a passionate group of football fans and historians, we sent out a ballot for a Preliminary Vote, which we asked each voter to give us 25 names as their semi-finalists, and 5 in the Senior Pool. Following that, we asked the group to vote for their 15 Finalists in the Modern Era, and…
came an NBA Champion and a Finals MVP and shook off what some may have perceived as an MVP snub.  At present, the Joker is leading the NBA in Win Shares (10.0), Offensive Win Shares (7.3) Box Plus/Minus (14.2), Offensive Box Plus/Minus (9.8), Defensive Box Plus/Minus (4.4), VORP (6.5) and Triple Doubles (14).  He is also second in PER (31.9), third in Rebounds per Game (12.1), and fourth in Assists per Game (9.1).  Jokic also was named the November Player of the Month, which is his seventh overall, but his lead has shrunk from our last update. 2. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander,…
