The Video Game Hall of Fame Announces its Second Class

Not in Hall of Fame
Last year, the Strong Museum in Rochester, New York inducted the first class of the World Video Game Hall of Fame.  Today, the second full class of six video games has been announced after being paired down from fifteen finalists.

The new inductees are:

Space Invaders

Sonic the Hedgehog

The Oregon Trail

Grand Theft Auto III

The Legend of Zelda

The Sims

The video games that missed the cut were John Madden Football, Elite, Final Fantasy, Minecraft, Nurburgring, Pokemon Red and Green, Sid Meier's Civilization, Street Fighter II and Tomb Raider.

The Strong Museum also houses the National Toy Hall of Fame.
