Barry Bonds: "I'm a Hall of Famer"

Barry Bonds: "I'm a Hall of Famer"

Not in Hall of Fame
Sometimes I feel like I’m beating a dead horse.

Not that long ago when Mark McGwire landed the Hitting Coach job with the St. Louis Cardinals, we thought this might help his Hall of Fame chances as he was back in the MLB fold.  It didn’t, but McGwire isn’t the home run king.  Barry Bonds is.

Bonds accepted a job as the Hitting Coach for the Miami Marlins, a role that has been suspected for the past week.  In the past few years, whenever Bonds was interviewed it would become almost automatic that the Baseball Hall of Fame would come up.  Sure enough, that came up again.

In an interview with the Miami Herald, Bonds kept it simple:

“I’m a Hall of Fame Baseball player.  That’s all that matters to me.  I’ll leave the voting process up to you guys.”

Bonds is someone that we here at Notinhalloffame believe that Barry Bonds is a Hall of Famer but the PED shadow has kept him out of the Hall and he has not been close to making the 50% mark, though this could change with the upcoming vote.

As always, we will be focused on what will happen next!
