gold star for USAHOF

46. Lyle Odelein

46. Lyle Odelein

A Stanley Cup winner with the Montreal Canadiens in 1993, Lyle Odelein was traded straight up for Stephane Richer before the 1996-97 Season.

Odelein was a good fit for the defensive-minded Devils, and he perfected his lockdown skills while forgoing his offensive ability.  He missed out on New Jersey's first Stanley Cup as he was traded to them a year after, and in the season where New Jersey won their second, he was dealt to Phoenix at the trading deadline.

With that being said, as a Devil, Odelein finished in the top ten in Defensive Point Shares twice and had 86 Points in total for the team.
