gold star for USAHOF

29. Pat Verbeek

29. Pat Verbeek

Pat Verbeek was the First Pick of the Third Round in 1982, and the Right Wing was a permanent member of the roster in his second year as a professional.

Verbeek had at least 50 Points three years in a row from 1985-86 to 1987-88, and in that last year, he scored 77 Points, his best as a Devil.  Verbeek lit the lamp 46 times that year, which would be his career-high.

Verbeek was also a tough player, unafraid to use his physical prowess to intimidate and fight for the puck.  Sadly, for Verbeek, there were not a lot of great players around him, and as a Devil, he only appeared in the playoffs once.  He scored 320 Points for New Jersey.
