Top 50 Florida Panthers

South Beach may have taken over the Basketball world for a spell but there was a brief time in 1996 where an upstart expansion team made the Stanley Cup Finals and almost shocked the world of hockey by winning the entire thing.

The Florida Panthers did not win the Cup, but hockey historians still remember what they accomplished in such a short time and this should be celebrated.

As such, the Top 50 of the Florida Panthers, even in their brief existence should be celebrated, but of course, this is what we do best at Notinhallofffame.com!

Note: Hockey lists are based on an amalgamation of tenure, traditional statistics, advanced statistics, playoff statistics, and post-season accolades.

This list is up to the end of the 2022-23 Season.

Bryan Allen had the best years of his career as a Florida Panther.  Allen who was always very good defensively, put together a 25 Point season in the 2006-07 campaign.  He was a Panther for three and half years.
Kristian Huselius would actually have much better seasons in his NHL career with the Calgary Flames but he did string together two straight 20 Goal Seasons as a Panther and would finish third in Calder Trophy voting in 2001-02.  Huselius had 127 Points for Florida.

Jussi Jokinen played three seasons with the Florida Panthers, and in his second year in South Beach, (2015-16), the Finnish forward scored 60 Points, his second-best total since he entered the National Hockey League in 2005.  Jokinen's play would drop off and he was released after the following year, but…
Mark Fitzpatrick had gone through a lot before he became a Florida Panther.  When he was playing with the Islanders, he contracted Eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome, a neurological disease that held him out of most of the 1990-91 Season and a large part of the 1991-92 campaign.  He came back, and was rightfully the…
Part of Florida’’s surprise run to the NHL Finals, Tom Fitzgerald was with the Panthers for five of his eighteen NHL seasons.  In 1995-96, Fitzgerald would have his best offensive output (34 Points) and finished ninth in Frank J. Selke Trophy balloting.

After finally becoming the permanent backup to Martin Brodeur in New Jersey, Scott Clemmensen joined the Florida Panthers as a Free Agent going into the 2009-10 Season. Clemmensen was not the main man in between the pipes for the Panthers either but he had a GAA under three in all…
Mark Pysyk began his pro career in Buffalo, where after four years in Western New York, he was dealt to the Florida Panthers in 2016. Pysyk, who established himself as a lockdown Defenseman, had more ample opportunity to show his skills as a Panther, and would occasionally appear as a…
Sam Bennett was a trade deadline deal from Calgary in 2021, and it was a great fit for the veteran Center who finished the year with 15 Points in 10 Games.  Since then, Bennett has played his best hockey, putting forth back-to-back 40-plus Point years with a physical style that…
A Third Round Pick by the New York Rangers in 2013, Anthony Duclair bounced around with the team that drafted him, Arizona, Chicago, Columbus, and Ottawa before signing with the Florida Panthers in the 2020 off-season, in a move that has thus far proved fruitful for both parties. The Left…
