49. Marian Stastny

49. Marian Stastny

Marian Stastny would join his two younger brothers, Anton, and Peter in the NHL before the 1981-82 season, and the three Czechoslovakian siblings would form one of the most feared lines in hockey.

As a 29-year old rookie, the elder Stastny would score 89 Points, which he succeeded with a 79 Point Season in only 60 Games.  That year, he would be named to the All-Star Game.  Stastny was getting a little long in the tooth, and in his third and fourth year in the NHL, he would have 73 Points over 118 Games.  He would sign with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he played in the NHL for one year before going back to Europe to play in the Swiss League.

Stastny would score 241 Points with a .96 Points Per Game Average.
