After being drafted 24th Overall in 1980, Quebec born Defenseman, Normand Rochefort, joined the Quebec Nordiques as a rookie and would play 56 Games as a rookie.
Rochefort was a very good stay-at-home Defenseman, who would excel on the penalty kill. While he was not a great offensive player, he would still manage to put together two straight 20 Assist seasons (1983-84 & 1984-85). He played with the Nordiques until he was traded after the 1987-88 Season, and he would score 136 Points with a Plus/Minus of +83 for the team.
