gold star for USAHOF

49. Al Secord

49. Al Secord

Al Secord arrived in Chicago after essentially being given up on by the Boston Bruins and the change of scenery certainly proved to be fruitful for the Left Wing.

In his first full season as a Blackhawk (1981/82) Secord would put the puck in the net 44 times while also spending 303 minutes in the penalty box.  The next season Secord would join the 50 Goal club (54) while leading the NHL in Power Play Goals.  Injuries would take him out of the nest two seasons but he would bounce back with 40 Goals in 1985/86.  He would be traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs the year after.

Secord would return for one final season in the NHL with the Blackhawks in 1989/90.
