gold star for USAHOF

13. Jonas Hiller

13. Jonas Hiller

Jonas Hiller was not anyone’s NHL radar for years, but the Swiss-born Goalie was tearing it up in the Swiss League, and the Anaheim Ducks signed him as a Free Agent in 2007 when he was 25.

Hiller played in 23 Games as a rookie, which he doubled the season after.  In that year’s playoffs (2009), Hiller was named the starting Goalie, and two years later, he was in the All-Star Game.  Hiller led the NHL in Games and Minutes Played in 2011-12, but he saw a lot less time in the next two years due to injury and competition.  He signed with the Calgary Flames in 2014, leaving the Ducks with a record of 162-110-32.
