Hockey Lorne Chabot

Although the bulk of the early era players are in the Hockey Hall of Fame, a case could be made for the talented Lorne Chabot. The Montreal native was successful everywhere he went, posting winning records and winning two Stanley Cups. Chabot’s career saw him get 201 over eleven seasons but as he played with six different teams he got labeled a journeyman despite the successful performances he showed.

Photo is incorrect.
That is not Lorne Chabot, that is a photo of Lester Patrick.

Chabot, along with Claude Provost, top the list as far as I am concerned. That they are not in is a travesty. Chabot is/was top ten in every major statistical category for goalies (Brodeur and Belfour knocked him out of the top 10 in career shutouts after 70 years). 2 x Stanley Cup winner, Vezina winner, and had better career numbers than many of his contemporaries, most of whom are in the HHOF.

He was blackballed by Conn Smythe because he tried to organize the players into a union in 1932. (I got this straight from Chabot's son).
