Brett Hull

You would think that as the son of Hockey Hall of Fame legend, Bobby Hull, that the shoes would be impossible to fill, but Brett Hull not only had a Hall of Fame career on his own, he even managed to eclipse some of his father’s career numbers.

Hull was one of the most natural scorers the game ever saw. The Right Winger would score the most goals in a season three times; including a stellar 86 goal output in the 1990-91 season. His career number of 741 is only eclipsed by two skaters (Wayne Gretzky & Marcel Gordie Howe) and three times he was a First Team All Star. Hull was however criticized for his lack of defensive skill, though he showed a clear improvement in the second half of his career in that facet. He was outspoken, without being belligerent (we think) and though he was born in Canada, he spent a good portion of his life in the United States, and played for the red, white and blue internationally, where he was one of the best players they ever had. Both Bobby and Brett are in the Hockey Hall of Fame, and were inducted in their first year of eligibility.
