141. Glenn Resch

While Glenn “Chico” Resch was only part of the first New York Islanders Stanley Cup in their dynasty (albeit in a backup role to Billy Smith) his role in building up that team cannot be discounted.

In the 1970s Resch was named a Second Team All-Star twice in the ’70s and was also a two time All-Star in that time frame.  Resch was in the top five in Goals Against Average for five years in a row (1974-75 to 1978-79).  Resch would earn a third All-Star appearance later in his career as a member of the New Jersey Devils.
