148. Herb Cain

This is an interesting one for sure.

During World War II, there was certainly a level towards what could be considered elite in professional hockey but in the 1943-44 season Herb Cain shocked the statisticians, as he would become an NHL league leader in Points with 82 Points.

That may have occurred during World War II where the talent was depleted, but the overall contributions of Herb Cain was solid and he remains the only player in NHL history who led the National Hockey League in Points and was not inducted in the Hall of Fame.
