He played four seasons in NBA. Petrovic's U.S. debut in the 1989-90 wasn't so good beacuse NBA and euro basketball is very different in some ways. In his third NBA season, numbers get much better and he was leading Net's team with 22 ppg. 1992 he led Croatian national team on Olympic games to silver medal,For me best ones would be Spain, Latvia, Serbia, and Greece.
Just check how many good players there, for example in Serbia. So small nation with so many good players
I agree with you. It's pretty amazing how small countries such Serbia, Croatia, Latvia, have so many great basketball players. Just think about Vlade Divac, Pedja Stojakovic, Drazen Petrovic, Toni Kukoc, etc...But how many of them are in the Hall of fame? Divac's picture is already there, but the rest? Really they were great players.
When I think of Michael Jordan basketball remember an American, it is among the 10 best basketball players of all time.It is one of the best basketball players of all time, and for many, one of the most important sports men of history.
