Posthumous Inductions

Figured this subject was worthy of its own thread for discussion. WWE has had about 17 inductions in 12 ceremonies (counting 93) that included inducting someone or some people posthumously. 1. Andre the Giant2. "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers3. Antonino Rocca4. The Grand Wizard5. Vincent J. McMahon6. Junkyard Dog7. Big John Studd8. Eddie Guerrero9. Mr Perfect Curt Hennig10. The Sheik11. High Chief Peter Maivia12. Eddie Graham13. Gordon Solie14. The Von Erichs (Fritz, Kerry, David, Mike, Chris)15. Stu Hart16. Gorgeous George17. The Road Warriors (Hawk)At that rate it's fairly obvious to see that with the limited number of headliners WWE has for future ceremonies, it's an elite group of people who will be inducted this way in the future. Currently on the NIHOF top 200 list we have 64 dead guys. 1. Randy "Macho Man" Savage2. Lou Thesz3. Bruiser Brody4. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy)5. Owen Hart6. Giant Baba7. Ray "the Crippler" Stevens8. The Crusher Lisowksi9. "Ravishing" Rick Rude10. Haystacks Calhoun11. Dick the Bruiser12. "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith13. Yokozuna14. Gene "Big Thunder" Kiniski15. Stan "the Man" Stasiak16. "Dr Death" Steve Williams17. "Flyin" Brian Pillman18. Chief Wahoo McDaniel19. Dick Murdoch20. Johnny Valentine21. Bam Bam Bigelow22. Miss Elizabeth23. The Big Boss Man24. Jumbo Tsuruta25. Spiros Arion26. "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert27. "Adorable" Adrian Adonis28. Bad News Brown29. "The Spoiler" Don Jardine30. Dino Bravo31. John "Earthquake" Tenta32. "Mr Wrestling" Tim Woods33. Hercules34. King Curtis Iaukea35. Karl Gotch36. Wilbur Snyder37. "Playboy" Buddy Rose38. Gary Hart39. The Public Enemy40. Professor Toru Tanaka41. Gene Anderson42. Buzz Sawyer43. Crush44. Umaga45. Crusher Jerry Blackwell46. Dr Bill Miller47. Johnny Weaver48. The Missing Link49. Crazy Luke Graham50. Special Delivery Jones51. Chris Adams52. Chris Kanyon53. Moondog Spot54. Test55. Jay Youngblood56. Tojo Yamamoto57. Hard Boiled Haggerty58. Crash Holly59. Luna Vachon60. Chris Candido61. Mike Shaw62. Gino Hernandez63. Sir Oliver Humperdink64. Scott IrwinOn the fringe list which is to be collapsed back into the top 200 we have an additional 25 bringing the total to 89. If WWE has another 12 ceremonies then you can only really count on another 17 inductions in that category. Say you double that to 34 so that you have alternates and maybe add another 16 just to cover your bases and you still end up having 50 extra guys who just about have no shot of ever getting in. With that being the case, their spots in the top 200 should then go to the living. Here's the top 50 I think have the best shot for various reasons. Agree? Disagree? 1. Randy "Macho Man" Savage2. Lou Thesz3. "Ravishing" Rick Rude4. "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith5. Yokozuna6. Owen Hart7. Ray "the Crippler" Stevens8. Haystacks Calhoun9. The Big Boss Man10. Bam Bam Bigelow11. Hiro Matsuda48. El Santo49. "Whipper" Billy Watson50. Ed "Strangler" LewisHere are the other 50 who I think should be bumped off the lists or remain off the lists. Agree? Disagree?51. Mildred Burke52. Professor Toru Tanaka53. Rikidozan54. Billy Red Lyons55. Dr Jerry Graham56. Dino Bravo57. Hercules58. Bad News Brown59. Sir Oliver Humperdink60. Danny McShain61. Benoit is the one who depresses me the most...... If we remove fringe candidates (and we might) we don't plan to list Benoit at all.

Agreed. Benoit has forfeited that right.

I'd keep Mildred Burke and Rikidozan.I think Mildred definitely has a chance if they are to keep the one woman a year thing permanent. Also, the thing with Benoit is such a shame. But he deserves no Hall for his actions.

The problem with Mildred Burke is that WWE considers the Fabulous Moolah to be the number one womens champion of all time. Putting in Burke might challenge that when they do not have to induct her. With Miss Elizabeth, Trish Stratus, Madusa, Lita, Cyndi Lauper, Sable, Linda McMahon, Chyna, Bull Nakano, Vickie Guerrero, Stephanie McMahon, Luna Vachon, Beth Phoenix, Leilani Kai and so on still to be inducted over the next two decades, Burke has a very slim chance of making it.

Wow nice job on the rankings. I'd say Savage first, then Yokozuna, then Bossman. It really seems like WWE is more into politics than actual wrestling ability, so they'll go with those they have a good relationship with before anyone else

I think the Undertaker was greatest wrestler of all time because of the drama that was around him. I used to watch him as a kid and found him very scary.

Roderick George "Roddy" Toombs, better known by his ring name "Rowdy" Roddy Piper is the best. I used to enjoy watching him when I was a kid.
