Toomer was a starter in 1999, and he began a five-year run of 1,000 Receiving Yard seasons. His best year was in 2002, where he had a career-high 1,343 Yards, which was good enough for third overall in the NFL. Toomer declined after the 2003 season, but he was still a huge part of their success, contributing to their Super Bowl XLII Championship. He played there until 2008, where he signed with Kansas City, but he did not make the team.
As of this writing, Toomer is the all-time franchise leader for Receiving Yards (9,497) and Receiving Touchdowns (54), a fantastic testament to a player that was never a Pro Bowl Selection. New York chose Toomer for their Ring of Honor in 2010 as part of the first class.
