11. Chuck Foreman

While Chuck Foreman was drafted 12th Overall in 1973, the Minnesota Vikings weren’t certain whether they were going to use him at Full Back or Running Back as he bounced around both positions at the University of Miami (FL).  Foreman was told that he wasn’t going to be able to cut it at Running Back at the NFL by his coaches at Miami, and he was determined to prove them wrong, and did he ever!

Foreman would win the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year with the Minnesota Vikings and would help them reach the Super Bowl.  This would mark the first of five straight Pro Bowls for Foreman and in his second season he would go from 1,163 to 1,363 Yards and he would lead the NFL with 15 Touchdowns and again the Vikings would go back to the Super Bowl.  Those seasons were good but in 1975 he would be named a First Team All-Pro, and had a career-high with 22 Touchdowns and 1,761 Yards and his 73 Receptions would lead the NFL.  Foreman would have two more 1,000 Yard Rushing seasons and in his seven seasons with Minnesota, he would accumulate 8,944 Yards from Scrimmage and go down in history as one of the best dual-threat Running Backs of the 1970s.

The Vikings selected Foreman for their Ring of Honor in 2007.
