Brent Grimes had already been in the NFL for six seasons (2007-12) with the Atlanta Falcons, going to the Pro Bowl in 2010m but when he signed with the Miami Dolphins as a Free Agent in 2013, it was not likely thought that he would be the top Defensive Back with the team.
Grimes became precisely that, and he was named to the Pro Bowl in 2013, 2014 and 2015. A Second Team All-Proo in 2014, Grimes had 13 Interceptions with 202 Interception Return Yards and a pair of Pick-Sixes. Grimes was the anchor of the Dolphins Secondary over that three-year period and was one of the team’s best players regardless of position, though that would be brief.
Grimes was released after the 2016 season after he declined to restructure his contract.
