40. Roy Williams

In 2001, Roy Williams was considered the best Defensive Back in the college ranks.  Playing for Oklahoma, Williams helped them the Sooners win the National Championship the year before, and in '01, he was an All-American, who won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Jim Thorpe Award and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.  The Cowboys coveted him and would trade up to obtain him with the eighth overall pick in the '01 draft.

An All-Rookie as a Free Safety in 2002, Williams would later move to Strong Safety in 2005 but not before he began a five-year streak of Pro Bowls in 2003.  The hard-hitting Californian was also a First Team All-Pro in 2003, and he struck fear in anyone who dared to carry a pigskin towards him.

After an injury-riddled 2008 season, he sought, and received a release, and would play two more years in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals before retiring.  As a Cowboy, Williams had 19 Interceptions and 510 Combined Tackles.
