22. Cornell Green

Cornell Green is another player on this list of all-time Dallas Cowboys who are played his entire pro career in the state of Texas.

Undrafted out of Utah State, Cornell Green actually never played college football.  He was a basketball player!  However, the Cowboys were forbearers in scouting and innovation, and they signed him and gave him an opportunity.  Green would not only make the team, but he would also play in all 14 Games in his rookie year (1962).

Green would play at Cornerback and was a permanent starter in his second season.  He would be a Pro Bowl selection five times, a First Team All-Pro three times and helped the Cowboys reach two Super Bowls, winning in their second attempt.  Green would remain a Cowboy until 1974, and he retired with 34 Interceptions, which was 34 more than he did in College!
