1. Tony Gonzalez
Is this even be a debate?

Tony Gonzalez is considered to be one of the best Tight Ends of all time and without question the greatest receiving Tight End in history.  Entering our list at number one, Gonzalez has all the makings of a first year Hall of Famer. A two-sport star at California (basketball and football), Gonzalez would emerge as a receiving machine and is one of the few Tight Ends to lead the NFL in Receptions in a year.

A fourteen time Pro Bowler and six time First Team All Pro, Gonzalez would exceed 1,000 Yards receiving four times and was named the NFL Alumni Tight End of the Year twice. Gonzalez has over 15,000 Receiving Yards with 111 Touchdowns.  Not many Tight Ends were the primary offensive threat but Gonzalez could make that claim for well over half of the years he played.

There should be no doubt here.
