Is Ty Cobb in the Hall of Fame? He may have been the most vile person but he was a great player. Garvey, based solely on his baseball achievements , deserves inclusion. Others with far fewer accomplishme nts are already in the Hall. Let him in, for crying out loud.

When you're in the top 100 of major baseball categories, a multi-gold glover, an MVP, a clutch hitter, and a several time all-star how can you NOT be in the HOF?

Rate him as a baseball player, not for his personal life. Writers have treated this guy like a criminal. He is overdue his time in the Hall for what he did on the field.

The guy's work in the postseason makes up for any short comings some might say he had in the regular season. He did not put up the big bopper numbers many want to see for his position but it doesn't take away from how valuable he was to his teams he played on. He surely is a HOFer and maybe there are others that should go in ahead of him but he should be there.

It is ridiculous that Steve Garvey in not in the hall. Anyone looking at the numbers and knowing what he meant to the game in his era knows that he was indeed a great player worthy of induction. Once a year I got through what I call a trip through the "Garvey Hole" where I find websites like this and make the argument. Why am I even here? Why is he even on this list? Why?
