Sure. He cheated. But to everyone who doesn't believe he should put in, I want to do something. Do what he did. I dare you. Take some roids, and do what he did. The truth is you cant. He did an amazing thing. Sure, he was a cheater. But that doesn't mean that he wasn't a great player, if not one of the greatest players of all time

he's the greatest hitter of all time.

everyone was doing peds at the time (including the pitchers) he was still better than anyone. by a lot.

what makes his blockage from the Hall even more ridiculous is that he was an obvious hall of famer even before the ped era (much like Roger Clemons.)

Anyone voting for Bonds to get into the HOF because he thinks Bond's numbers are so great has to know the impact PEDs had on him, has to know how dramatically PEDs increase performance, has to know that it violates the rules of the Hall, and has to be a cheater himself in his own life in order to be willing to vote for this guy. He thereby condemns himself as an admitted cheater! And, who is going to allow an admitted cheater to do the voting?!!!

Barry Bubblehead is a disgrace to the sport and the American judicial system. He probably would have been a 1st ballot HOF'er if he had not touched 'roids. Mark McGwire is disgraceful as well.

(Continued) ...Bonds increased mussel mass and power surge after he was 29. Page 207, from "The Year Babe Ruth Hit 104 Home Runs." In my opinion Bonds had a lot of help even if his balls did go over the fence. If Jackson and Rose can be kept out so can Bonds.

No it's not the reality of the sport! Cheating has happened at times but it has been snuffed out quickly. In the live ball era everyone played with the same ball, but PEDs are secretive and private. We don't know everyone who took them or how much Bonds did. But, we do know that they can dramatically increase strength, intensity, and reflex action to a phenomenal level. Canseco and others admit it. As for Bonds, we do know that he trained at an optimum level since he came into the Majors in 1993, and "once an athlete has engaged in optimum training, beyond about age twenty- five he or she can not significantl y increase either strength or muscle mass." So what happened to Bonds? Dr. Charles Yesalis (Professor Emeritus, Penn State University), "concluded that it was 'virtually impossible' to accomplish those results through natural means." Despite my strong feelings against cheating of any form, especially something as blatant as what Bonds did, I think he will end up in Cooperstown and, in fact, I'm leaning toward letting him in. There should be an asterisk on his plaque, but the man holds the single season and all-time homerun records; and if Bonds doesn't get in, how can anyone in this PED era get in? I mean, there's no way to be sure who's clean and who isn't. It's a shame that America's pastime has come to this, but it's the reality of the sport.

I can't believe 58% thinks he should go in! Doesn't cheating mean anything to you guys?!!! Maybe he'd have only hit 500 home runs if he didn't juice and he'd be a shoe-in for the Hall. BUT HE DID JUICE! Get it?!!! Where do you guys draw the line? If the HOF is to mean anything it's to mean integrity and honesty and fair play. Bonds was great, but he cheated. How can you honestly call him the Home Run King when you know he cheated? And you want him in the Hall?!!!.
