I just saw Tommy James & the Shondells in concert last night. The band sang hit after hit, which most of the aging crowd knew by heart. The group should be in the hall because of excellent song writing, great rock & roll beats, catchy tunes and, of course, longevity .... and I'm not talking about the fact that they are still performing, I mean the fact that their songs still persist and are known, 50 years later!

Very underrated force in R&R History. Cellophane Symphony is one of the great progressive experimental Albums and should have wiped out the Bubble Gum tag. Check out the title song sometime on youtube. Crimson &Clover, Crystal Blue and Ball of Fire are as good a trio of songs as any band currently in the Hall of Fame could muster up, and I include the Beatles and Stones. Tommy and the Shondalls were invited to Woodstock, they should have accepted and performed Cellophane Symphony. It could have put them on Rocks Mt Rushmore.

If the Lovin Spoonful is in, then so should TJ.
