MLB hierarchy continues to treat the HOF like a church - and even churches let in people who are sinners. It's a place to acknowledge great baseball performance. It's also to validate the support of the fans as much as it is for the player. Let a 30 year banishment be the standard. Meanwhile MLB advertises sports betting constantly. Really tired of their idiot elitist swagger.

If I was commissioner of baseball, the first thing I would do is reinstate Pete. He's been out of the game since 1989 - that's not long enough? I can't imagine any young player looking at the Rose case and saying "only 30 years? I can handle that, i'm going to bet on baseball". But if they're not going to put him in the HOF while he's alive, then don't bother. I'm still pissed off that they waited until Ron Santo had died to induct him.

Rose, Jackson, Clemens and Bonds should all be in. People are so hypocritical and full of themselves.

People are not full of themselves-- But sportswriter s and HOF voters are.

Put Rose in for what he achieved on the FIELD.

Continue the ban from employment in any capacity in Major or Minor League baseball for life. Once someone breaks the rules on gambling, he can't be trusted again.
