The people saying "no way" are either narrow minded rock critics with a narrow definition of what rock is and can be that are frustrated because they never learned to play themselves or clueless younger folks(who probably mostly listen to rap)and either never came across Yes or don't know much about them and because they don't know them they assume they are bad. Go search your parents or older brothers record collection and get a clue kiddies.

I used to live by Cleveland and have been to the R&R Hall of Fame 20+ times. I tried to get on the board, but was on the social committee. It's absolutely ludicrous that YES is not in the HOF. They are truly pioneers and innovators, not followers. I loved them in the 1970s and still love them. I'm listening to them in concert on TV right now and they sound awesome. I saw them live last summer and they were tremendous. Starship Trooper is an incredible song. Listen to it you guys. HOF listen to that song and the melodies and vocals....tr uly unbelievable . It still makes my whole body chill when I hear it. This is a total injustice that they are not in there. More importantly, you don't give the world an opportunity to experience YES at the HOF. It's a different style of music that we will probably never hear again. Put them in...Stevie Howe is one of the best guitar players in the world......a mazing!! What's your problem? Did one of them not go to one of your parties..... .

Was watching some Yes live from 2015 with Billy Sherwood on bass, and marveled at how good they still sound. This snub, along with Jethro Tull, Moody Blues and ELO ...is completely insane. Yes is part of the Not in the Hall list and is at number 13, uhm..no... they should be right at the top of list along with the aforemention ed groups in my statement here.

I'll just echo this.....the revolving lineup of this band alone is the end of the conversation.
However I will add....that to follow-up Fragile fifteen years later with 90210 is the punctuation on their merit.

Probably one of the least covered bands, not because their music wasn't good, because it was too good. Most bands would just not sound good trying to cover their songs, and they knew it.

Yes had some of the greatest rock musicians of all time playing in this band.Bill Bruford, Rick Wakeman - these are true great musicians. How are rap groups and disco singers like Donna Summer in the HOF and not Yes - absurd.

Yes is too good for the Hall, that's why they're not in. They were so intense live and performed such spectacular material with proficiency that they make the majority of the Hall's inductees look like a musical joke. When paired at a gig with almost any other band, they blew the other one away.

To me that's what's behind the "progressive rock bias" of the Hall - ENVY. A lot of the bands in this genre musically kick ass all over most other typical rock acts. It flat-out frightens the Hall even though they won't admit it. That's my conspiracy theory about why bands like this have been completely shunned despite having rabid fan bases, commercial success, and longevity. There's really no excuse at all for Yes to still be out there uninducted.
