gold star for USAHOF

29. Mel Hutchins

29. Mel Hutchins
Mel Hutchins was only with the Hawks for two seasons, but those first two campaigns in the National Basketball Association with the Milwaukee Hawks were incredible.

Hutchins was named to an All-Star Game in 1953.  Hutchins was the league leading rebounder in his rookie season, right after he was selected out of BYU.  This was a great career for a second overall pick from Tri-Cities.  He would average a double double as a Hawk.
