Paul Pierce

Paul Pierce (who was dubbed by Shaquille O’Neal as “The Truth”) spent the vast majority of his career with the Boston Celtics was one of the best shooters in basketball history.  A superstar at the University of Kansas, Pierce went through the ups and downs of being a Celtic and there was certainly the experience of both ends of the spectrum for Pierce during his tenure in New England.

Pierce would prove himself to be a star player over many years with Boston and he would be named to multiple All Star Games and post season All-NBA rosters.  The Celtics would go all in securing Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett in multiple trades and Pierce would take the triumvirate to a title in 2008 while being named the Finals MVP.  His overall body of work consisting of 10 All Star Selections and four All-NBA nods (one second and three thirds) makes him a solid contender for Springfield.
