If we look at statistics and the MPA< Kyrie is there. He is a multi-time All-Star, even adding another last year, and has been an All-NBA Selection. He has the Championship. He has the ability (and still does) to take over a game and be the best player on the court regardless of the competition. What holds Irving back the most is the perception that surrounds him that he is a selfish player, stemming not only from his refusal to get vaccinated, the way he left Boston and his desire to leave LeBron, and later Brooklyn Kyrie is a very polarizing individual and one who marches to his own drum, and his convictions have cost him millions of dollars, and could Hall of Fame voters hold all of this against him? They could, and he has to be a champion again for them to keep him out. This could prove to be a touh task, as last year he forced his way out of Brooklyn to join Luka Doncic and the Mavericks,,,who got worse upn his arrival! They will now begin the year together, but Kyrie is so polarizing, we could see voters looking to punish him. Even more than other contrversial players ahead of him. Irving has to leave no statistical doubt. Pre-2019-20 Rank: #15, Pre-2020-21 Rank: #14, Pre-2021-22 Rank #14, Pre-2022-23 Rank #14
