Vlade Divac
Vlade Divac was one of the great International big men ever.  He was a vital member of the great Yugoslavian teams of the late 80’s and early 90’s.  Divac had guard like skills in the post and was probably the most well known European transfer to the NBA when the flood gates opened.  13,000 points and almost 10,000 rebounds in the NBA do not hurt either.  He would almost a shoe in to be elected someday as the Hall definitely puts a high standard on International contributors.  If Arvidas Sabonas can get in with all of his injuries then Divac should have no problem getting elected but we suspect they will make him wait awhile.

Vlade is definitely a hall of famer. Everybody looks at stats, but nobody looks at wins. Every team he went to, they won. Lakers are the lakers, so i won't dwell on them. Signs with the hornets for two seasons, and those two seasons are the only seasons that charlotte wins over 51 games. He shows up in sacramento, and they immediately have a positive winning percentage. 15 seasons prior, they have losing seasons. Out of all the years he played, he had two seasons with a losing percentage, and both were with the lakers where he didn't start all of the games. As well a leader for serbia. First time usa (with pros) doesn't win a gold in a major, was to serbia in 2002. Vlade = leader.

Sorry, but no. A one-time All-Star who averaged 11 points and 8 rebounds a game for his career, and never averaged higher than 16 & 10 in a year (and that only once)? No championship s, nowhere close to an MVP award, not even an All-NBA selection. I've got nothing against him, and a lot of teams would have been happy to have him as their starting center, but a Hall of Fame-worthy player he was not.

Vlade is a sure-fire hall of famer. Divac is one of seven players in NBA history to record 13,000 points, 9,000 rebounds, 3,000 assists and 1,500 blocked shots, along with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar , Tim Duncan, Shaquille O'Neal, Kevin Garnett, Pau Gasol and Hakeem Olajuwon. Pretty impressive company. Not only that, he's a humanitarian , and has won at all levels. His ability to move the ball out of the post was perhaps the best we've seen at his position, and he pretty much ushered in the new style of Center in the NBA, while opening the door for other Europeans to play in the NBA. Divac is as hall-of-fame y as it gets, folks.
