“Sweet”
Lou Hudson was aptly nicknamed as he was one of the sweetest shooters in the history of the league. He predated the 3 point line but still was an incredible scorer. 17,000 career points at a 20.2 average attest to his ability to put the ball in the hoop. The prototypical swing man, Hudson made 6 All-Star game trips and is a legend in both Atlanta with the Hawks and Minnesota with the Gophers where he played college ball. The rest of the world may not know much about the sweet jump shooting wing man but they should.

I appreciate your article and wanted to let you know that we are starting a campaign to get my dad, Lou Hudson, into the Hall of Fame
Hey Lou,
We were both in the same Civil Affairs Company Army Reserve unit in Greensboro in the 60's. Remember our going to summer camp with our Reserve Unit at Middle Tennessee State University? I remember you would practice shooting there on their basketball court during our free time away from our summer camp duties which were really easy that summer because we only attended college classes during on campus during that summer camp. Are you still living in Greensboro? I was there from 1966-1974 and moved back to Richmond, Va. where I'm from in March 1974.
I hope you are doing well health-wise. You're about 69, I'll be 72 in November. I'm in good health and feel a whole lot younger than my actual age...thank goodness.
Hoping you'll email me in reply. My email address is: trfudala1
Take good care of yourself.
Kind regards,
Tom Fudala
