Anthony Rendon came with a lot of expectations and how could he not be?  The former Dick Howser Trophy winner from Rice University was drafted sixth overall in 2011 and he has proven to be a balanced player for the Nationals as of this writing.

In his sophomore season Rendon would breakout leading all of the position players in the National League in bWAR and Runs Scored while also winning the Silver Slugger.  An injury would hamper his 2015 season but he would rebound by winning the Comeback Player of the Year in 2016 and in 2017 he would finish sixth in MVP voting, a nice compliment to his fifth place finish in 2014.  Arguably, his most satisfying season has to be 2019.  This was the year that he would go to his first All-Star Game, led the National League in Doubles (44), Runs Batted In (126), and would post career=highs in Home Runs (34), Batting Average (.319), On Base Percentage (.412), and Slugging Percentage (.598).  This output would see Renson finish third in MVP voting, and gain a second Silver Slugger.  How do you make that season better?  You take the Nationals to their first World Series Championship.

After the World Series, Rendon left the Nationals for the West Coast, and he signed with the Los Angeles Angels.  Rendon had 145 Home Runs, 1,048 Hits with a .290 Batting Average with Washington.
