As of this writing, Trea Turner has been with the Washington Nationals for five seasons, and is coming off a World Series win, the first in the history of the franchise.

Playing his college ball at North Carolina State, Trea Turner was a First Round Pick by the San Diego Padres, who would deal him to the Washington Nationals as the unceremonious, Player to be Named Later in 2015.  He would have 40 At Bats that year for the Nats, and in the season after, he batted .342 in 324 Plate Appearances and was the runner-up for the National League Rookie of the Year to the Dodgers’ Corey Seager.

The Shortstop had a good 2017 (117 Hits with 46 SB), and in 2018, he led the NL in Plate Appearances (740), At Bats (664) and Stolen Bases (43), and he was an effective table setter for the Nationals.  Turner would swipe 35 Bases with a .298 Batting Average in Washington’s 2019 World Series winning year.

It will be very intriguing to see where Turner goes from here.
