After a good 2008 season, where he batted .286 and helped the Rays win the American League Pennant, Bartlett would go on to have the best year of his life. The 2009 campaign saw Bartlett post career bests in Hits (160), Home Runs (14), Stolen Bases (30), and all three components of the Slash Line (.320/.389/.490), and he would enjoy his only trip to the All-Star Game.
Bartlett played one more year with Tampa before he was traded to the San Diego Padres. As a Ray, Bartlett would collect 409 Hits with a .289 Batting Average.
