Al Orth had his best seasons late in his career with the New York Giants but he was still a decent player when he arrived in Philadelphia and joined the Phillies.

Orth strung together six straight 14 Win seasons, the last of which (1901) saw him secure 20 Wins and lead the National League in WHIP and BB/9.  Orth was also an excellent hitter for a Pitcher and he batted .294 as a Philadelphia Phillie.
