The career of Chuck Knoblauch was full of yips and disappointment as a New York Yankee but as a member of the Minnesota Twins, he was a superstar.
The Second Baseman had a dream 1991 season where he was the American League Rookie of the Year and helped the Twins win the World Series. As a member of the Twins, Chuck Knoblauch had nearly 1,200 Hits and a .304 Batting Average. For a time, Knoblauch was considered one of the best infielders (with the bat and the glove) in the American League, and when he left Minnesota it was considered a major loss to the franchise.
Knoblauch had been scheduled to be inducted into the Twins Hall of Fame but a domestic violence issue caused the organization to revoke the enshrinement.
