One of the most popular Catchers in recent memory, Salvador Perez has also proven to be one of the better defensive ones too.

As of this writing, Perez is still with Kansas City and has been named an All-Star in eight of them.  To date, Perez has been a Gold Glove winner five times and had a Defensive bWAR over 2.0 three times.  The Venezuelan has shown some good power (though awful On Base Percentage with a career OBP under .300) with four straight 20 Home Run seasons and two Silver Sluggers.

Perez, who had to sit out the entire 2019 season due to injury, came back at peak form in the COVID-19 2020 season, where he was named an All-MLB 1 Selection, with a third Silver Slugger.  He is coming off of his best offensive year, where not only did he repeat as a Silver Slugger, and All-MLB 1 player, he won his first Home Run Title with 48 taters, along with his first RBI Championship (121).  ENtering 2023, Perez has 223 Home Runs, eight All-Stars and is already a team icon.

If he stays healthy, he should be able to make the top five of this list.
