The Rightfielder debuted in 1909 and was an everyday player the season after. He would have two .300 seasons and four 150 or more Hit campaigns. This was not the best offensive production, but it was consistent, and the Red Sox fans and brass alike, knew what they get annually from their Rightfielder each season.
Overall, with the Red Sox, Hooper accumulated 1,707 Hits with 300 Stolen Bases and a .272 Batting Average. In the four World Series, that he competed in, he batted .293 over 24 Games.
Hooper was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971 when he was elected by the Veteran's Committee, and was later formally inducted into the Red Sox Hall of Fame in 1997.
