Had there been a Rookie of the Year Award in 1912, there is a good chance that Del Pratt of the St. Louis Browns would have won it.  That year he batted .302 with 172 Hits, and he was close to that in 1913 with 175 Hits and a .296 Average.

Those two seasons were the best that Pratt would have in terms of his Batting Average, but in 1916 he would lead the AL in Runs Batted In with 103.  Pratt would stay with the Browns until he was traded to the Yankees for five players and cash in 1918.  With St. Louis, he had 957 Hits with 174 Stolen Bases and a .282 Batting Average.
